Renee Nichols gets to meet people from around the world in her role as Universal Lead at the Bankers Trust Windsor Heights Branch, and that is one of her favorite things about working here.
While assisting customers, many of them from diverse backgrounds, Renee enjoys learning about the cultures and life experiences of people from places such as Bosnia, Latin America and Sudan to name a few.
“You learn something new all the time from working with customers,” says Renee, who has over 20 years of experience in the banking industry. “You’re meeting people from every part of the world.”
Born and raised in Memphis, TN, Renee worked at Bankers Trust from 1997 to 2001 and then rejoined the Bank in 2008. “The Bank has always treated me like family,” said Renee.
Bankers Trust’s corporate culture makes it possible for her to find a consistent work/life balance she said. Renee enjoys that her job involves a variety of responsibilities from serving her customers to mentoring tellers. “It’s different every day. There’s always something new that happens here,” she said.
Renee said, Bankers Trust encourages employees to grow in knowledge and responsibilities. She participated in a job shadowing program in which she worked alongside another employee to gain experience in leadership, supervising and mentoring.
The Bank’s support of the community has inspired Renee. “The Bank is always making a difference [in our community], and that is something that I aspire to do with my family.”
