51 Years of Trust

Former Bankers Trust employee, Ruth B. Klotz, remains a loyal customer for 51 years

I was an employee of Bankers Trust for around 10 years, starting in August of 1966. I was hired as a Trust Officer and enjoyed working in that capacity with other Bankers Trust employees. Ronald Fenton was the leader of the Trust Department during most of my time there. In November of 1978, I was appointed as Probate Referee by Polk County and the title was changed to Associate Probate Judge some years later – a position I held until I retired in 2013.

I opened my checking account the day I started my employment at Bankers Trust and I still have that checking account as well as a savings account now.

I recall attending some events celebrating 50 years of Bankers Trust when I first started there as well as celebrating the move of the bank to the Ruan Building. I was still a Trust Officer when the actual move was made, it is great to see Bankers Trust still thriving after another 50 years.
