How do I set up Apple Pay?
- Open Passbook on your iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air 2 or iPad Mini 3.
- Select the link to Add a card in the Apple Pay section
- Use the camera feature to automatically enter your card information. Card information may need to be entered manually. In such a case, click the Enter Card Details Manually link at the bottom.
- Enter the security code found on the back of your card
Which devices support Apple Pay?
In-store purchases can be made using the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus or Apple Watch. The Apple Watch must be paired with any iPhone 5 or iPhone 6 to make in-store purchases.
In-app purchases can be made using the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air 2 or iPad Mini 3
Where can I use Apple Pay?
Apple Pay can be used in-store at contactless enabled terminals nationwide. Be sure to look for these icons at checkout:

Apple Pay is currently not available internationally.
What is a contactless payment?
Contactless payment is a transaction using chip-based technology that requires no physical connection between the payment device and the merchant terminal.
Do I have to be connected to the internet for in-store purchases?
No. In-store contactless payments do not require an internet connection.
Is there a Bankers Trust charge to use Apple Pay?
No. Bankers Trust does not charge a fee for customers to use Apple Pay.
Will I continue to earn my card’s rewards and benefits when paying with Apple Pay?
Yes. You will continue to earn the rewards and benefits of your Bankers Trust Visa card.

Security and Data Privacy
Why am I being asked to verify my Bankers Trust card?
Adding a card to Apple Pay may require additional authentication. For your security you may be required to contact Bankers Trust customer service to finish the card setup.
How secure is my information?
Your payment card information is NOT stored on the device or on Apple servers. Instead your card information is replaced with a digital account number that is stored securely on the Apple device and used to make purchases. This helps reduce the potential for fraud.
Is my information passed to the merchant?
No. Your personal information and card information is never shared with merchants using Apple Pay. Merchants receive the digital account number to complete transactions. Using a digital account number will help reduce the risk of your sensitive data from being stored or compromised.
What information is stored about my purchase?
Transaction data and recent purchase history is kept private by storing it on your device and not on Apple servers. It is NOT used for Apple marketing.
What if my Apple device is lost or stolen?
Go to the Apple Support site
or use the Find My iPhone app to quickly suspend or remove your digital account numbers.
You may also contact Bankers Trust customer service at 1-800-362-1688 to perform the same action on your Bankers Trust Visa card(s).
What if I lost my physical card?

What if I want to sell or give my device away to someone else?
Be sure to delete all the digital account numbers associated with the device. Alternatively, you may reset your phone to factory settings which will also remove all digital accounts.
