The benefit is that by using an in-network ATM, you will avoid ATM fees.
Use our mobile app to deposit checks at any time or use Depository Drop for cash deposits and loan payments.
*Surcharge-free means that the ATM operator or network will not impose a fee. If you use ATMs not owned or operated by Bankers Trust, your transaction may be subject to a transaction fee.
What is a Depository Drop?
Depository Drop is a convenient and secure way to initiate a deposit or loan payment to your account outside of normal business hours, available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Your deposit or payment may be processed the next business day after you drop off your items.
Please note, if you are visiting during normal business hours, we’d be happy to help you in-person at our drive-up or lobby. An in-person visit ensures a faster turnaround on your transaction showing on your account. Also, save yourself a trip to the bank by depositing checks from your phone with our Bankers Trust Mobile app!

Bankers Trust ATM and Depository Drop FAQ
Your website listed a certain ATM as part of the ATM network, but when I went to use the ATM, the AllPoint or MoneyPass logo was not on the machine. Is this ATM still surcharge-free*?
Yes. All ATMs listed on the ATM/branch locator are surcharge-free*, when using your Bankers Trust debit card, even if the logo is not on the ATM. ATMs that are new to the networks are constantly being added and it may take 4-6 weeks to get the participating logos onto these ATMs.
*Surcharge-free means that the ATM operator or network will not impose a fee. If you use ATMs not owned or operated by Bankers Trust, your transaction may be subject to a transaction fee.
I used an in-network ATM and the surcharge warning message screen said I would be assessed a surcharge fee for the transaction. Will I be charged? Why does this happen?
You will not be charged. Due to the technical limitations of certain types of ATM machines, the networks are currently unable to prevent the “surcharge warning message” screen from appearing on some ATMs. The verification of Allpoint or MoneyPass participation happens while the transaction is processing rather than before, so the surcharge fee page will show up prior to the transaction being completed.
You should continue the transaction by answering “yes” on the ATM screen. When you get your receipt, you’ll see that you were not assessed a surcharge (i.e., the withdrawal amount on your receipt will show $20, $40, $60, etc., as opposed to $22.50, $42.50, $62.50, etc., shown when you pay a $2.50 surcharge fee).
I used an AllPoint or MoneyPass ATM and was incorrectly charged a fee. How can I get a refund for the fees assessed?
Contact customer service at 1-800-362-1688 to receive a full refund.
Are there in-network ATMs located outside of the United States?
Yes, you can find Allpoint ATMs virtually anywhere your travels may take you, throughout the United States and around the globe. MoneyPass ATMs are only located in the United States.
What happens to my deposit/payment when placed in the depository drop?
Your deposit drops into a secured vault that can only be accessed by bank employees with authorization.
When will my deposit/payment show on my account?
Items placed in the Depository Drop will be processed the next business day. If you are visiting during business hours, please consider using the drive-up services or lobby. This will ensure a faster turnaround for a deposit showing on your account and we’d love to see you!
How is the cutoff time different from depositing in the ATM?
Deposits placed in the Depository Drop may not be processed until the next business day.
Will I need to have my debit card available for the depository drop?
No, your debit card is not needed to use the Depository Drop. However, you will need to know your account number.
What items can be placed in the depository drop?
Cash, checks or loan payments are the most common items placed in the night drop. If you have other paperwork or documentation that needs to be returned to the bank, and if it fits in a legal-size envelope, you may place it in the Depository Drop as well.
